Volunteering

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Want to help out the community and meet other youth?  Do you want service hours, or a  reference letter for employment?  Get involved with one of the following great service opportunities! The following Opportunities are for Elementary School, Jr. High,  Highschool Youth, and Adults, unless otherwise stated.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If volunteering for school, all youth are responsible for bringing their service hour sheet with them every time they volunteer.  They are also responsible for keeping an accurate record of their hours, service description, and gaining the signatures of supervisors.

Save Popcan Tabs for Wheel Chairs

A project run by the Knights of Columbus and the Canadian Wheelchair Foundation

All ages encouraged to help provide wheel chairs for the poor in developing countries! Collect the aluminum pull tabs off of popcans. You could even organize with your school to earn volunteer hours during lunch by going through the recycle bins and collecting the tabs off the popcans and getting teachers to sign for your volunteer hours. Then before or after any Sunday Mass, bring your bags of tabs to the  grocery card kiosk in the church foyer.

Please note:  Not all pull tabs are aluminum.  How can you tell?  If the pull tab sticks to a magnet, it is of no value as scrap metal to us.
